WE ARE ALMOST THERE

With the roll out of the vaccines things are beginning to look promising and I feel this could be the final push.  The government have laid a path back to (hopefully) what will become normality. If all goes to plan clubs should be able to open again from the 29th March, fingers crossed. I am waiting to see what the latest AGB guidance will look like when it arrives, although I do feel archer numbers will be restricted until an all clear is given, (planned for 21st June).  But remember, a lot can happen between now and then. Well, July is upon us, I hope everyone is still fit and well?

After Archery GB issued their return to archery phase 1 document dated 13th May, Bulwell Foresters, Burton Joyce, Greasley Castle Archers, Sherwood Archers, then Wilford Bowmen opened, with Belvoir Archers, Keyworth Archers, Newark Castle Archers and Welbeck Archers to follow this week. VIEW FROM THE CHAIR MARCH 2020

I| would like to start this issue of “A view from the chair” with an apology for being late, I have just returned from holiday.

Thank you to Sherwood Archers for hosting the County Indoor Championships again this year, as always well run and thanks to all that attended, the tournament had full attendance, nice to see so much support, hopefully all county Shoots will be as well supported this year. Congratulations to all the New county champions, too many to list here; (for results follow the link below). Remember though (Robert Gray), you only stay at the top with dedication and hard work. There is always somebody willing to take your place, keep practicing everyone. (more…)

VIEW FROM THE CHAIR FEBRUARY 2020

Just two months left of the Indoor shooting season, hope all is going well with you lovely Notts archers and for those clubs entered in the Portsmouth and Frostbite postal leagues, hope you are getting good results. I’m looking forward to the county Indoor Championships this Sunday 2nd February at Joseph Whitaker sports hall (Sherwood Archers). My understanding is the tournament is fully booked.
