3rd and Final League round at Wilford Bowmen on Sunday 10th August 2014

All. as a reminder the final league shoot takes place at Highfields on Sunday 10th August.  Please forward this email to those of your club members who are shooting on the day.  They may need directions:

Highfields

Right, now for the hard part.  Highfields is off University Boulevard.  You will need to keep your wits about you when travelling along University Boulevard.  Roadworks, tram works, road closures, changed road layout, temporary traffic lights.  The list goes on.  And frankly it is a hostile environment.  So with that really cheerful note out of the way, here are your directions!

Assume that you are coming South down the ring road.

Leave the ring road at Dunkirk Roundabout exit (the one after QMC roundabout).

Three quarters at the roundabout.

Travel along University Boulevard

Pass the Tennis Centre on your left

The next entrance on the left is signposted for the Hockey Club.  Currently loads of traffic cones surround it.  But you can get in.

So in you go!  Stay on the tarmac, follow it through to the car park.  Park and find out where you will be shooting!

If you overshoot and miss the hockey club entrance keep in the right hand lane through one set of lights and one crossing and carry on to the next roundabout, do a 360 and back up the other side of the dual carriageway all the way to Dunkirk roundabout.  360 again and have another try at getting in the entrance!

Warning there are fixed speed cameras at either end of University Boulevard dual carriageway.  Normally set for 40 MPH, but watch them, they have sometimes dropped the speed limit to 20.

Highfields is a lovely site once you get to it.

On behalf of Wilford Bowmen we look forward to seeing you on the 10th
