Nottinghamshire County Championships hosted by Rolls Royce Bowmen of Sherwood

Sunday 8th July saw Rolls Royce Bowmen of Sherwood host the Nottinghamshire County Archery Society outdoor championships.  It was an excellent day, the weather held off just long enough for us all to get into the bar for presentation.
It was again an excellent run event and we would like to pass on our thanks to Sharon and Bernie Dicks and the rest of the hard working party who hosted the event.

Rolls Royce ~ Mid Summer Eve Shoot

A lot of merth and merryment was had at Rolls Royce Bowmen of Sherwood last night at their annual Mid Summer Eve shoot. There were almost 23 targets full of archers shooting the Short National Round. The Bingham 3 pass their Level 2 Coaching

Congratulations also go to Simon Barnicot, Kate Knaggs and Les Smeeton from Bingham LCAC who have passed their Level 2 coaches certificate in the last few weeks.

Wilford Bowmen (Wilford Wanderers) York round to be hosted at Sherwood Archers

Wilford Bowmen’s Record Status York round on 20th May will be hosted by Wilford Bowmen but will be shot at Sherwood Archers Ground in Southwell.

 This is due to the new TRAM line works effecting the ground at Wilford.  Wilford Archers would like to thank Sherwood Archers for their kind help and assistance in providing them with a venue to hold the shoot.

Bekky Lowe Gains her Junior Master Bowman

Bekky Lowe gains her Junior Master Bowmen with her Barebow.

Bekky has been shooting barebow since September 2004 when she started to shoot with the help of both Chris Mason and the now Finance Director for Archery GB Eric Jackson at WOAC in Northamptonshire.   Continue reading
