Nottinghamshire Junior Archers Shine at Junior National Outdoor Championships

On 7th and 8th July 9 juniors represented their clubs and Nottinghamshire at the Junior National Outdoor Championships held at Lilleshall. The conditions were extremely hot and sunny with a tricky wind.

Congratulations to all archers on your amazing achievements, some of which are detailed below.

Nottinghamshire won the Compound County Team Award made up of Jenny Bryan, Thomas Lane and Paige Jones.

Jenny Bryan came 1st in her category on both days breaking two National Records (maxing 20m 80cm face), 7 EMAS Records and 8 County Records. As well as the County Compound Team, Jenny also helped EMAS to win the Regional Compound Team Trophy.

Thomas Lane came 2nd in his category on both days. Shooting PBs on both days as well as breaking 7 County Records and 2 EMAS Records.

Liam Wright came 3rd in his category on both days. Shooting PBs on both days as well as setting 6 new County Records.

Paige Jones came 3rd in her category on Sunday. Shooting PBs on both days and breaking 3 County Records.

Anna Blythe shot PBs and JMB scores on both days as well as breaking the County Record on Sunday. Anna also tied for 3rd place on Sunday just losing out on a medal on golds.

Eleanor Rochelle shot PBs and JMB scores on both days.

Laura Eyres shot new PBs on both days and her first JMB score since moving up a distance only a month ago.

Poppy Barker shot new PBs on both days.

Daisy Medley shot a PB and JMB score on Saturday.
