UK Record broken at EMAS 2016 JUNIOR INTER-COUNTIES TOURNAMENT

50 junior archers from across the East Midlands area met at Sherwood Archers field in Southwell Nottinghamshire on 24th July to compete for team honours at the EMAS Junior Inter-counties Tournament. A great day of shooting was had in lovely weather and this culminated in Hollie Smith, competing for Derbyshire, in breaking the UK record for the compound bow shooting the Bristol 3 round. Hollie scored a magnificent 1294 and only dropped one shot outside the gold zone. Well done Hollie. There were also lots of claims for Rose awards and six gold ends so a fantastic performance by all archers.

Many thanks to the organisers, the field party and all the helpers from Sherwood Archers for hosting this year’s tournament.
